Caldo AllHeat pump water heater for everyday hot water

Caldo All is a heat pump water heater: a 200 or 300 litre tank and an R290 heat pump combined in one floor-standing unit, dedicated to domestic hot water (DHW). It draws energy from the ambient air, carries an A+ energy rating and heats water to 65 °C on the heat pump alone, or to 75 °C with the backup heater.

Applications

Where it fits

Hot water for every day. 200 or 300 litre tanks with R290 refrigerant and an A+ energy rating.

  • Families with high hot water demand
  • Homes and flats with moderate use
  • Hot water system upgrades
  • New-build residential projects

Energy class A+

Both models are rated A+, with a COP of 2.93 to 3.15 at 7/6 °C and 3.65 to 3.75 at 20/15 °C under the stated test conditions.

Natural R290 refrigerant

Each unit uses just 150 g of R290, a natural refrigerant with a very low GWP, and heats water with renewable energy captured from the ambient air.

75 °C with backup heater

The heat pump heats water up to 65 °C and the 2 kW electric heater takes it to 75 °C. The temperature can be set anywhere between 15 and 75 °C.

Enamelled or stainless tank

Inner tank in enamel-coated S235JR steel or stainless steel, with 40 mm polyurethane insulation and a maximum tank pressure of 6 bar.

How to choose the right model

Choose by daily consumption. The 200 L model has load profile L and the 300 L model load profile XL, which corresponds to higher consumption. Both have a nominal heating capacity of 1.6 kW, a 2 kW backup heater and a 220–240 V single-phase supply. Check the space available too: the 200 L unit measures Ø677 × 1520 mm and weighs 93 kg; the 300 L unit measures Ø677 × 1920 mm and weighs 117 kg. Have a qualified installer confirm the right model for your household.

Talk to a specialist

What is the difference between the 200 L and 300 L Caldo All?

Besides volume, the load profile changes: L for the 200 L model and XL for the 300 L, which corresponds to higher consumption. The 300 L has a slightly higher COP (3.15 at 7/6 °C against 2.93) and is taller, at 1920 mm against 1520 mm. Both are rated A+ and measure 677 mm in diameter.

How hot does the Caldo All heat water?

On the heat pump alone, water leaves at up to 65 °C. With the 2 kW backup electric heater it reaches 75 °C, and the temperature can be set between 15 and 75 °C. The unit operates at air temperatures from −7 to 45 °C.

Does the Caldo All need a three-phase supply?

No. Both models run on a 220–240 V, 50 Hz single-phase supply, like a standard domestic water heater. The heat pump has a nominal heating capacity of 1.6 kW and the backup heater is rated at 2 kW. Your installer should check the electrical installation.

Can a heat pump water heater replace an electric water heater?

The Caldo All is a floor-standing unit with a built-in tank and a 220–240 V single-phase supply. Instead of heating water with a resistance element alone, it uses energy from the ambient air, with a COP of 2.93 to 3.75 under test conditions. An installer should assess the location and the water connections.
