Caldorelli is a brand of air-to-water heat pumps for heating, cooling and domestic hot water. The range covers six series, from 8 kW residential units to 145 kW solutions for commercial pools, with R32, R290 and R410A refrigerants and operation down to −30 °C.
The brand identity draws on the Italian tradition of home comfort: warmth in winter, freshness in summer and care in every detail.

An air-to-water heat pump moves heat from the outdoor air into your building. It provides heating in winter, cooling in summer and domestic hot water all year round, using less energy because it moves heat instead of generating it.
The outdoor unit draws in air and captures natural heat energy, even in cold conditions.
The refrigerant absorbs, compresses and releases heat at a higher temperature for efficient use.
The upgraded heat is distributed inside to provide year-round comfort and hot water.
The right series depends on the application, the water temperature you need, the climate and the available power supply. Use this guide as a starting point. Final sizing should be done by a qualified installer.
Straight answers on how heat pumps work, efficiency, installation and choosing a Caldorelli series.
Talk to a specialistIt is a system that captures thermal energy from the outdoor air and, through a refrigerant cycle, transfers it to the water in your heating circuit and to your domestic hot water. Because it moves heat instead of generating it, it delivers more heat than the electricity it uses. The same unit can heat in winter, cool in summer and produce hot water all year round.
Yes. The Caldo Up, with EVI technology, operates at outdoor temperatures down to −30 °C. The Caldo Boost and Caldo Commercial Duo operate down to −25 °C. The Caldo All and the pool heat pumps operate from −7 °C. Capacity and COP vary with the outdoor temperature.
COP (coefficient of performance) is the ratio of heat delivered to electricity used at a test point. A COP of 4 means 4 kWh of heat for every kWh of electricity. SCOP is the seasonal value, calculated over a typical heating season according to EN 14825, so it better reflects year-round performance.
Savings depend on the system you replace, energy prices, the building's insulation and the water temperature. As a reference, Caldorelli series have COPs between 2.93 and 7.4 under test conditions, so each kWh of electricity becomes several kWh of heat. For an estimate for your project, ask our team for a study.
R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a very low global warming potential (GWP). It is used in the Caldo Boost, Caldo All and Caldo Commercial Duo, which produces hot water up to 78 °C. R32 has a GWP of about one third of R410A and is used in the Caldo Up and Caldo Silent Pool. R410A is used in the Caldo Commercial Pool.
Yes. The Caldo Up, Caldo Boost and Caldo Commercial Duo series are reversible and produce chilled water for cooling, with flow temperatures from 7 °C up to 25–35 °C depending on the series. Cooling is delivered through fan coils or underfloor systems designed for cooling.
In many cases, yes. The Caldo Boost heats system water up to 70 °C and the Caldo Commercial Duo up to 78 °C, temperatures suitable for radiators. Efficiency is higher at lower water temperatures, so an installer should check whether your existing radiators heat the rooms well at moderate temperatures.
It depends on floor area, insulation, climate and the water temperature you need, and it should be calculated by a professional. The residential range goes from 8 to 35 kW with the Caldo Up and from 8 to 22 kW with the Caldo Boost. Send us your project details through the form and we will help you choose the model.
Yes. The Caldo Up produces domestic hot water up to 60 °C and the Caldo Commercial Duo up to 78 °C, connected to a storage tank. The Caldo Boost delivers 159 to 377 litres of hot water per hour, depending on the model. The Caldo All is a dedicated hot water heat pump with a built-in 200 or 300 litre tank.
For residential pools of 20 to 130 m³, the Caldo Silent Pool series offers 10 to 33 kW models, chosen by water volume. For pools of 40 to 500 m³ in hotels, water parks and sports facilities, the Caldo Commercial Pool series offers 26 to 145 kW models. Both use a titanium heat exchanger and must be installed with PVC piping.
The Caldo Silent Pool heats water up to 40 °C and can also cool it down to 9 °C. The Caldo Commercial Pool supplies water up to 43 °C. Both operate at air temperatures from −7 °C to 43 °C.
Sound levels for each model are listed in the technical data. For example, the Caldo Boost runs at 43 to 45 dB(A) at 1 metre and the Caldo Silent Pool at 18 to 35 dB(A) at 10 metres. Where you place the outdoor unit also affects the noise you hear.
Yes. The Caldo Up has Wi-Fi control with 0.1 °C precision, the Caldo Boost has Wi-Fi and IoT control, and the Caldo Silent Pool can be controlled remotely with the Smart Life app.
A buffer tank hydraulically separates the heat pump from the heating circuit and reduces frequent compressor cycling, which steadies operation and improves system efficiency. The Solibuffer series is available from 50 to 1000 litres. Whether you need one depends on the water volume of your system and should be confirmed by your installer.
The 8 to 18 kW Caldo Up, the 8 to 15 kW Caldo Boost, the Caldo Silent Pool and the Caldo All run on a 230 V single-phase supply. The 23 to 35 kW Caldo Up, the 22 kW Caldo Boost, the Caldo Commercial Duo and the Caldo Commercial Pool need a three-phase supply.
Yes. R290 is a flammable natural refrigerant (class A3). Installation and servicing must therefore be carried out by qualified technicians, following the required safety distances and applicable regulations.
We recommend a periodic check by a qualified technician: cleaning the outdoor unit's coil and the water filter, checking circuit pressure and flow, and making sure condensate drains properly. Regular maintenance helps keep efficiency high over the years.
Technical data are nominal values obtained under the standard test conditions shown in each table. Real performance varies with climate, installation and use, and specifications may change without notice.
